THE CHANGES YOU NOTICE

How you feel has a deeper story.

Some changes arrive quietly. Understanding the systems underneath them gives your daily routine a clearer purpose.

01

Energy that feels less consistent.

Look closer at cellular energy production.

02

Sleep that feels less restorative.

Explore the signals that coordinate rest.

03

Strength that needs more attention.

Understand how muscle is maintained.

04

Clarity you want to hold onto.

Consider the systems supporting cognition.

These experiences have many possible causes. They are not a diagnosis or an inevitable part of aging.

01 / CELLULAR ENERGY

Before you feel energy, your cells make it.

Mitochondria help turn energy from nutrients into ATP: a molecule cells use to power their work.

Human research has found age-associated changes in skeletal-muscle mitochondrial function. Activity, health and individual biology also matter.

INSIDE THE CELL / SCROLL TO EXPLORE

Where NMN comes in.

Inside the cell: NMN, NAD+ and mitochondrial energy metabolism One illustrative cellular uptake route: extracellular NMN becomes NR, enters a cell, and is rebuilt as NMN. NMNAT uses NMN and ATP to make NAD+. NAD+ enters a mitochondrion; a magnified interior shows NAD+ accepting electrons to become NADH, delivering electrons to the respiratory chain and being recycled. The proton gradient supports ATP synthase. This is not a complete oral absorption pathway or a product result. 1. 01 / CELLULAR UPTAKE

    A route into the cell.

In one studied route, NMN becomes NR before entering a cell. Inside, NRK enzymes rebuild NMN.

  2. 02 / MAKING NAD⁺

    From precursor to coenzyme.

NMNAT enzymes use NMN and ATP to make NAD⁺. Follow the molecule as its role changes.

  3. 03 / A CLOSER LOOK

    Inside the mitochondrion.

NAD⁺ can enter mitochondria through a transporter. Here, it accepts electrons from nutrient metabolism to become NADH.

  4. 04 / TRANSFER & RECYCLE

    Carry. Deliver. Repeat.

NADH supplies electrons to the respiratory chain and returns to NAD⁺. The chain builds a proton gradient that helps drive ATP production.

FROM MECHANISM TO HUMAN RESEARCH

What has NMN research measured?

The pathway explains the rationale. Human studies ask a separate question: what changes after supplementation?

02 / SLEEP & REGULATION

A night of sleep. A changing rhythm.

Later steps show repeated awakenings, deep-sleep intervals concentrated earlier in the night, and REM intervals becoming longer later. 1. DURATION / MAKE ROOM FOR REST

    Give sleep enough time.

Most adults need around 7–9 hours of sleep. The hand follows an example 8-hour window; your timing and needs may differ.

    Adult sleep guidance ↗
  2. CONTINUITY / NOTICE THE INTERRUPTIONS

Hours alone don’t tell the whole story.

Repeated awakenings, difficulty falling asleep, or daytime tiredness despite enough sleep can signal poor sleep quality.

Brief awakenings between cycles can be normal.

    Sleep quality guidance ↗
  3. DEEP SLEEP / MORE PROMINENT EARLIER

A stage connected to physical recovery.

Deep sleep is usually more prominent early in the night. It is associated with growth-hormone release involved in tissue repair.

Disrupted sleep can interrupt the night’s pattern. Deep-sleep needs are not a fixed percentage.

    Sleep and physical health ↗
  4. REM / LONGER PERIODS LATER

The later part of the night matters, too.

REM periods generally lengthen later in the night. Cutting the night short may reduce the opportunity for these periods.

Both REM and non-REM sleep contribute to memory. A full night supports the whole pattern.

Recommendations, aging & sources

CDC adult guidance: ages 18–60, at least 7 hours; ages 61–64, 7–9 hours; ages 65+, 7–8 hours. NIA describes a general 7–9-hour adult range. Sleep needs vary. With age, sleep timing, continuity and stage distribution can change. Persistent sleep problems or daytime sleepiness merit a conversation with a healthcare professional.

A CONNECTING INFLUENCE / HORMONAL TRANSITIONS

One life stage. Several connected changes.

Perimenopause and menopause belong in the conversation about aging well.

Changing ovarian hormone patterns can coincide with changes in sleep and temperature regulation. Longitudinal research also documents shifts in fat and lean mass around the menopausal transition.

Two distinct areas of aging well. Both have a permanent place in the protocol’s development.

A little more clarity.

Does NMN turn directly into energy?

No. NMN is a precursor for NAD+. NAD+/NADH participate in metabolic reactions, while ATP is a molecule cells use to power work. The animation explains their relationship.

Does the animation show Haroutine’s product being absorbed?

No. It illustrates one studied cellular uptake route and NAD⁺ metabolism. It does not depict the complete oral absorption journey, demonstrate intact liposome delivery to mitochondria, or measure the formula’s absorption.

Are Recover and Think available products?

They are areas for future protocol development. The current starting point is Advanced Liposomal NMN and Rest + Restore Magnesium.

Does this protocol treat menopause or extend lifespan?

No such claim is made. Hormonal transitions provide educational context. The studies shown do not establish lifespan extension or hormone replacement by these formulas.
